Why All The Fuss Item Upgrade
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations are made available.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradable over the original version that is not upgraded.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor, or ring. The item is swapped for a different one similar one, with an additional set of bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. They don't keep the original equipment's condition and any wasted resources aren't rewarded.
Survivors can obtain Reroll tokens in a variety of ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be found in crates and chests or purchased at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of the equipment, such as increasing its damage or granting it a new stat.
Players can reroll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks while spell power boosts mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give players an additional level of health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade rare, legendary and rare. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-quality reroll token order to make it. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require items that are either unique or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
In contrast to other special tokens and markers that are placed on action spaces the reroll marker stays in the space until the next Success result is repeated. This allows you to save upgrades.
Blueprints appear as envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase and are opened by grabbing them with Interact. Once they're opened, they display a full description and an icon for the appliance or ingredient that they correspond to. Blueprints can be exchanged for new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.
During the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to selected Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop sells to reroll and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to upgrade weapons, armor and accessories. These are special stones that boost an item's level by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a price. They are also available to players who sign daily contracts.
To upgrade their gear players first need to locate the appropriate item and then click the "level up" button. This will display a menu showing the item upgrade's current level and what it will be after being upgraded and the required amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade an item will depend on its rarity. Typically rare (blue) weapons require more than one green Growth Stone to reach their next level, while uncommon armor requires only one green or blue Growth Stone.
After deciding on the item to upgrade, the player must select the number of Growth Stones that they want to use and pay the cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, they can click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will raise the item's level a certain percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.
The upgrade process is risk-free and will not affect the item's longevity. The system is an excellent option for players who wish to get an edge in combat but don't want strain their wallets. By clicking on the "transfer tab", players can also transfer their experience and progress of an upgraded item to a new piece of gear.
The process of acquiring Growth Stones in Throne and Liberty can be daunting for new players. However, there are numerous methods to obtain them, including contract completion and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, collecting them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests of the Ancient Arena season. In addition, players can take apart higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows players to increase the base stats of weapons armor, helms and trinkets. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item a boost in that area. The process will continue until the item is at its highest level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display the blue icon in their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments cannot be applied to more than one item at a time. Each upgrade component will require a certain number of items and a minimum equipment level.
The Upgrade Station has two slots: the left one is where players can put in an item to be upgraded, and the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. Pressing the yellow arrow when the player has enough materials will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment may be upgraded up to five times. Each upgrade, the base stats of an item will be increased by a small amount. The highest level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its highest level, upgrades are no longer available for it. When a piece of equipment is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track ) they will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a form of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons, trinkets and gathering tools to give an extra effect or attribute bonus when the equipment is in use. They can be bought from vendors, looted or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs, which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
The upgrades to items allow players the ability to increase certain stats of armor and weapons that they currently own. The requirements for upgrading an item will vary based on the kind of item, but typically you'll need Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).
Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This gives them extra effects or an increased level of the item. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, such as crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade element is added to an item, it cannot be removed and substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without restrictions.
Upgrades can boost the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components include additional modifiers which can further improve the item's stats.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases defense base and provides an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Certain items benefit from upgrading not so much for their improved stats and more for the fact that it lets players get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the Best item upgrader. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and could be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.
The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that is incorporated into the item. These include the item type (either Armor or Weapon) the tier of the item, the upgrade Token required, as well as the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the conditions for upgrading the game will put the item in your inventory, and the progress bar will update to show how close to completing the upgrade items. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by going to any item upgrader NPC.
