This Is The Advanced Guide To Item Upgrades
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade feature for items lets players upgrade their equipment. This can be done by any item upgrader NPC.
Upgrades increase the main stat of an item level upgrade and also add additional features based on the type of item. Examples include Whistan's shield for FB sorcs or Goldwrap for caster builds.
Armour
Link's armor is a key element in keeping him safe from danger. While it can't be upgraded like weapons, it can still be improved in various ways to increase its defence capabilities.
Armour is designed to protect animals or people from harm or injury from direct physical attack or a range of environmental or activity hazards. In the past, armour was primarily constructed from leather or fabric but later, protections made of metal were also utilized, especially in military applications such as heavy cavalry or combat drones.
Like weapons there are a variety of ways in which armor can be upgraded, but the majority of them require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has its own level of upgrades, with more granting greater levels of protection, and require a higher price in rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever, meaning that after they've been put in place, they cannot be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is important that you only apply the highest level of upgrades to your gear and that you have the materials needed to complete the process.
You can find the upgrade components you need in many places around Hyrule. These include merchants, shrines and even enemies. These will generally be marked with an gold circle or blue triangle symbol, and are available in large quantities as you move through the game. They may appear randomly but there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades will trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It is also important to note that although the level of protection provided by each upgrade differs however, it's the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. This is due to the fact that a full set of upgraded armour will provide you with a substantial defense boost that will protect you from all forms of attacks, excluding magic and makes it a formidable weapon for any class.
Weapons
You can upgrade your guns by using special upgrades that make them unique. These can increase damage, alter the weapon's stats to cater to your particular build or even unlock new attachments like unique enchantments, ammo types and more aesthetic options.
To upgrade a weapon, you'll need an upgrade component in place as well as the item level upgrade itself. The weapon must be above a certain level for the upgrade to be effective and the majority of weapons can only accept one upgrade at one time.
Weapon upgrade components are available all over the world, from the enemy or from merchants. Upgrade components are a mix of ingredients that you can put into weapons, armors trinkets, tools for gathering and other items to earn an attribute bonus. They require the equipment to be of a certain level to be able to take the upgrade. They can be upgraded in the same way as other items.
Upgrades are a combination of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They can be used to boost the stats of weapons and enhance their effectiveness in comparison to other stats. These upgrades can be obtained from enemies in the open or from merchants. They are also dropped through combat.
There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
Prioritize upgrading your most-used slot items first. Then, upgrade the items that you aren't likely to replace anytime soon. Upgrade your weapon first, and then upgrade your chest, shoulders feet, hands, and shoulders in case you intend to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. However, depending on your style of play, certain items will be more useful than others. Armour is the same, with certain reforges better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one magic item. If an upgrade project is canceled then any subsequent upgrades for the item won't begin. Upgraded magic items cost twice the amount of gold to create or purchase, but can provide other benefits.
A magical item upgrading is any item with special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, but there are some that are also armor, shields, cloaks, potions, scrolls, rings and other items. Some of these items can be made sentient.
Most magical items can be upgraded to become infused with additional abilities. This makes them more useful for a player, or it can help them overcome a particularly challenging encounter. An infused weapon might provide bonuses to damage against a particular enemy type, for example. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached the point that they're likely to face a single type of monster repeatedly in the dungeons.
A ring infused by magic might grant immunity to nonmagical attacks that bludgeon, pierce or cut (excluding attacks that are silvered) until the character gets another long rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or any person who wishes to avoid purchasing a shield.
Some enchanted objects have special powers which allow the character to cast spells that are not on their list of classes. This is helpful for characters who have difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These magical objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table that is based on the number of Intelligence point expended.
Other items that can be enchanted may let the user change their appearance, or create a new one. These items are especially beneficial for characters who have been forced to leave their home, or are in a location that they might not be welcome. An enchanted item upgrader might give them an invisible effect, or make them invisible to anyone but a select few.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that do not fall under the categories of Armor, Clothing or Weapons and have various capabilities. Utility items aren't compatible with each other, as opposed to weapons or armor. The majority of utility items have a passive effect which the player can activate when using them. However, some of them have additional abilities which are activated by pressing a button or activating a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular type of utilitarian item is the Flashlight, which illuminates the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while moving, and the Jetpack which allows the player to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Many useful items can be immediately created in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items available in the standard inventory, players can unlock the most useful items of utility by purchasing them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more effective use.
The majority of utility items boost the combat ability of a particular character or provide the player with some kind of navigation advantage. Sharpening stones, created by a Weaponsmith can boost power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, made by the Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other utility items can be used by the player to boost Damage or Condition Damage.
All XCOM soldiers are capable of equipping one utilitarian item at the start of the campaign. Later, an additional slot is made available by acquiring certain types of armor or completing engineering, research or experiments in the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are made available by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows players to equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main grenade slot.
