The i3+ doesn't have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots that we tested. It may be stuck on power cords and socks and have trouble moving between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include putting away any clutter or toys it may encounter. It's also a good idea to keep the dust bin and filter clean so that they aren't clogged by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and automatically empties the dirt into the station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's batteries last for about an hour and a half continuous use, and takes about three hours to fully recharge.

The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the latest technology. It is self vacuum-charging and self-navigating. But the most important feature is its self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.
The Roomba I7+ can map rooms more efficiently with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning tasks, and you can control your robot sweeper through the app or via voice.
The i7+ is quicker and more agile in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also picked up large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy, is its self-emptying dustbin which removes a major source of maintenance and reduces the amount of time spent cleaning.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services that we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning sessions and to move around the room and sweep a specific space. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home App also offers options for managing i7+ settings and monitoring the performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of cordless vacuums that feel like minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a traditional stand-up vacuum in a majority of homes, but it is also compact enough to fit on the bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, high-energy lithium-ion battery that can provide continuous, non-fading power for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filtering system is able to trap allergens and then lets cleaner air into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and pick up large particles or fine dust. It comes with three suction modes that can be adapted to the specific task. It is able to swiftly switch from floor vacuum to handheld vacuum and vice versa.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capabilities of more advanced models like our top selections such as the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It may get stuck on phone cords or furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in all aspects in that it has fewer parts that require regular cleaning and is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, has more advanced automation capabilities and does a better job moving itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and can charge faster.
The eufy RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 in most purposes, because it has a better battery life, has the ability to alter its suction power mode manually, comes with physical boundary strips, and is controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more robust, has a more powerful motor, and can perform better on low-pile and bare floors.
5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+
