Upgrades can boost the stats of a piece of equipment and sometimes even its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the number of random augmentations that are applied.

The racial Shield elite Razortail, for example, is frequently upgraded to enhance its lightning absorption function in PvP, and/or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more tradable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens
