Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before a component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they can't be used multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment that is ascended or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade item, changing the name of the item it is applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment that require fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade item using normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated the Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or by buying them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals per.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of an item will be dropped during the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even if they are unsure how much it will be improved after a reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a high possibility that the item will be obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to reduce or eliminate the chance of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements which can be put in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

You'll often see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade component which can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without any restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires an Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph that is the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus which will boost the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph the bonus will be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is best to put Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The Item Upgrade (Https://Intern.Ee.Aeust.Edu.Tw/) system allows players to boost the power of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item has an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items are able to be leveled until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level requires a different amount of components to reach, and the upgrade costs increase as the item is advanced in level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab in the crafting table. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields some Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When a player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will get the form of a shield or weapon when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could make the item more expensive if you don't need it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens to do so. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times, increasing their value and allows the player to modify their gear. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as dolphins). This item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be very valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the quality of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader NPC. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each when you upgrade an item it has a chance to fail--the failure rate increases the farther you go beyond the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum amount of upgrades.

If an item upgrader mod is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonus it earned, including crit chance and attack damage, as well as any other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). However, the player can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any damage to attack increases. Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they may require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
