Like Ecovacs the range-topping X2 Omni and Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra, the L20 is designed to be a hands-off cleaning machine that takes charge of both mopping and vacuuming. It comes with a multi-function dock that automatically emptys the vacuum's dustbin, refills its water tank, washes and dries its mop pads.

The smart robot vacuum cleaner employs an array of LIDAR and structured light to create floor plans and spot obstacles, navigating more intelligently than some of its premium rivals. It also has a camera mounted on the front for real-time detection of hazards, although this wasn't quite foolproof in our testing and was often confused by power cords or other obstructions.

Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has a feature called "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts cleaning frequency for different areas of the home based on how dirty the areas are.
